Presenter Matt Slayter is the Director of Education and Pop Culture Classroom. After receiving a BFA in Theatre, Matt joined Teach for America and taught first grade in NYC while receiving his Master's in Teaching. Matt continued to teach elementary Gifted and Talented students in Fort Worth, Texas before eventually moving to Colorado and joining Pop Culture Classroom. Matt oversees PCC's educational programs, including the Colorful History comic line, graphic novel teaching guides, the Excellence in Graphic Literature Awards, and outreach programs. Matt frequently gives professional developments and makes presentations at local and national events, including New York Comic Con, Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo, and Fan Expo Denver.
